Argon RADSIM Controller App

Our NUVIATech simulation instruments, DolMo-SIM and NuPROBE-SIM, support realistic and hands-on radiation protection training. For the customization of training scenarios, the RADSIM Controller App provides a convenient way to define dose rates precisely. After establishing a Bluetooth connection to a RADSIM GS4 simulation source, instructors can set the desired dose rate at a specified distance.

As a practical example, the default settings generate a reading of 30 µSv/h at a distance of 1.8 m on Level 3 and 9.33 mSv/h at 1.8 m on Level 4. Consequently, the boundary of a controlled area at 25 µSv/h is located either directly next to the simulation source or at the edge of the transmission range, more than 30 m away. Using the RADSIM Controller App, the Level 4 value can be adjusted to 1 mSv/h, reducing the size of the controlled area to a radius of approximately 10 m around the source.
