Who will benefit from this webinar?

This webinar is intended for professionals and organizations involved in gamma spectrometry and radioactive material analysis who are looking for advanced and flexible efficiency calibration solutions.

  1. Nuclear industry specialists: radiation protection officers, waste management engineers, and decommissioning teams who perform in-situ measurements of radioactive objects and containers, and need rapid calibration methods.
  2. Research and development personnel: scientists and engineers designing measurement campaigns, modeling complex geometries, or performing sensitivity studies and what-if scenarios in gamma spectrometry.
  3. Instrumentation and QA/QC teams: those responsible for integrating calibration workflows into existing spectrometry software pipelines, validating Monte Carlo-based or analytical efficiency calculations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

The webinar is particularly useful for those familiar with ISOCS/LabSOCS workflows who wish to explore alternative tools that offer:

  • flexible 3D modeling
  • batch calculations
  • sensitivity analysis, and seamless integration with modern spectrometry software

Why EffTrace?

The presenters will walk you through major benefits of this software. Some of them are:

  • From simple shapes to complex CAD models, EffTrace makes calibration setup fast, accurate, and intuitive.
  • EffTrace lets users define and characterize detectors, with full support for calibration efficiencies – even offered as a service.
  • EffTrace unites geometry import, detector characterization, and rapid efficiency calculations in one seamless tool.

If you are interested in participating in this live webinar but are unavailable at the scheduled date, you will be able to access the replay, once you register with the below link:

About the presenters of EffTrace:

Tomáš Grísa, Ph.D., is a leading expert in radiation measurement and metrology, specializing in portal monitors and advanced data processing algorithms. As Head of Research & Development at NUVIA, he originated the concept of EffTrace, conducted its initial experimental validation, and continues to guide its development direction.

Ing. Róbert Brachna graduated from Mathematical Engineering at Brno University of Technology. In the last years of the studies, he diverted into programming solvers for physical problems – both direct and inverse formulations. At NUVIA, he leverages his background as a Programmer Analyst and brings ideas into production, such as EffTrace.
